Golden hour is the most flattering light there is: low, warm and forgiving. This look recreates it on skin, so you glow whether you’re in the sun at four or under candlelight at ten.

1. Prep for glow, not shine

Start with a hydrating serum and let it sink in for a full minute. Press a pea-sized amount of SHEGLAM Complexion Pro Foundation into the centre of the face with fingertips, then blend outwards with a damp sponge. Keep the edges sheer.

2. Warm the eyes

Sweep a matte taupe through the crease with a fluffy brush, then press a bronze shimmer onto the lid with a fingertip for the most reflective finish. Smudge the same bronze along the lower lash line.

“Put shimmer only where light naturally hits: the lid, the high cheekbone and the cupid’s bow.”

3. Finish with a satin lip

Line with a liner one shade deeper than your lips, then press Pillow Talk in Pillow Talk Medium on with a fingertip for a softer, satin finish. Mist with setting spray and you’re done.

The five-minute soft glam routine

The five-minute soft glam routine

October 10, 2026

A short, repeatable face for the mornings you have no time — five products and five minutes.

Soft glam is not a smaller version of evening makeup. It is a different idea: even skin, a little warmth, and one feature doing the work.

Minute one: prime

Primer is the step people skip and then wonder why foundation slides. A gripping primer gives the foundation something to hold on to, which matters most across the nose and forehead.

Minute two: skin

Use less foundation than you think and build only where you need it. Two or three dots across the centre of the face, blended outwards, covers more than a full layer and looks like skin rather than a mask.

Concealer goes on after, not before, and only where there is something to conceal.

Minute three: colour

Cream blush is faster than powder and harder to overdo. Tap it onto the apples of the cheeks and blend up towards the temple with your fingers — the warmth of your hand does half the blending for you.

Minute four: eyes

For a five-minute face, mascara alone is enough. Wiggle the brush at the root of the lashes and pull through. A second coat on the outer lashes only will open the eye without the time cost of liner.

Minute five: lips

Finish with a nude or a soft pink in a satin finish. A matte lip reads as evening makeup; a satin one reads as daytime.

The point of a routine

The reason to have a short routine is that you will actually do it. Keep these five products together in one bag rather than scattered through a drawer, and the five minutes stays five minutes.
